Wouldn't it be fun to create Wet Cyanotypes on the official first day of Summer? If you have already made cyanotypes and love using botanicals and other natural items (feathers, grass, snakeskin, bee's nest paper, etc.) to create them, this class will introduce some pizzazz, texture, and maybe some color to the background! Peg O'Connell, a photographic artist who has been creating cyanotypes for 20+ years, will demonstrate and walk you through your wet cyanotype creations.

Agenda/Topics covered

In this 3 hour workshop, students will hand coat paper with the cyanotype emulsion, layout their "natural art scene" then use their choice of water, salt, tumeric, bubbles or any combo of the 4 before exposing the print to the sun.

Special Instructions

IN PERSON WORKSHOP This class is an intermediate / maybe advance class specfically for people who have already created cyanotypes. Students are encouraged to bring their own "botanical and other natural items" to use, The workshop will provide the cyanotype kits, brushes, paper, and a sampling of botanicals to use.
