Kickturning Community Vision to Reality!
We are proud to announce the skatepark at Clinton Community Park opened to the public on Saturday, Oct. 21!
People were out at the park with their skateboards, bicycles, roller blades and scooters enjoying a sunny October day and celebrating a whirlwind of community success.
What’s Next?
With the skatepark constructed, we are now turning our attention to fundraising for supporting amenities, including a picnic pavilion, and youth programming to ensure the skatepark is accessible and family friendly.
Stay tuned for a formal grand opening event in spring 2024!
Please note there will be intermittent closures of the park through November to shore up the site before winter. Access to Clinton Community Park is off Silver Street.
Project Partners
This project has been made possible with support from the Clinton Community Park Working Group, Friends of Missoula Parks, Missoula County Parks, Trails and Open Lands staff, Evergreen Skateparks, Montana Pool Service and the Montana Skatepark Association.
The Working Group, comprised of members of the Clinton School District, local community organizers and members of the regional skateboarding community, were committed to implementing the skatepark as the first phase of the Clinton Community Park Reuse Plan.
The skatepark is the Working Group’s inaugural effort and the first capital campaign at the park in more than 20 years.
The majority of funding for this project is being sourced from cash and in-kind donations, grants and generous contributions from local businesses and contractors. We are immensely grateful to all who have contributed to this project!
