We are the Eighth Grade!

This year, Mr. Linstrom and his Eighth Grade Class will continue the long-standing and beloved DWS tradition of biking around Belle Isle. Mr. Linstrom's class will head to the Jewel of Detroit and bike laps around the island, some logging up to 25 miles!

The week of Walk-a-thon, they will bike to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen’s Earthworks Urban Farm, a 1.5-acre certified organic farm located on the east side of Detroit. Students will help to tend the crops that supply produce for meals cooked at Capuchin Soup Kitchen, which has been providing take-away meals for east siders in need during the pandemic.

Donations help to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the cost of running the school. This year, our goal is to raise $63,500 that will directly support the exceptional education that Detroit Waldorf School provides our students. This goal breaks down to $250 per child, plus an additional $5,000 from our greater community.
