Coconut Grove Theatre Festival

Play a Part in Bringing Theatre Back to the Grove!

The inaugural Coconut Grove Theatre Festival (CGTFest) is almost here, and we need YOUR support to make it happen! In collaboration with the Arts and Culture Committee of the Coconut Grove Woman’s Club (WCCG), this exciting new festival will unite a group of Miami’s leading and emerging playwrights, directors, and actors for 8 play readings, showcasing fresh, original works on the historic WCCG stage in the heart of the Grove from May 8-11, 2025.

From Walter De Garmo’s amphitheater at WCCG, to the US premiere of Waiting For Godot at the Coconut Grove Playhouse, the Grove has been a long-standing destination for theatre in Miami. Join us in reviving the Grove’s vibrant theatre scene– your donation will make it possible to develop exciting new works that will become the mainstage productions of years to come.

Your support is critical, and with Lost Girls Theatre 501(c)(3) as our fiscal agent, all donations are tax-deductible. Just like the Coconut Grove Art Festival started with a Parisian-inspired “clothesline art show” and the King Mango Strut began with Glenn Terry and Bill Dobson marking off their street and bringing out kazoos, conch shells, and garbage can drums, the Coconut Grove Theatre Festival brings this same Grove spirit to a new audience. Together, we’ll bring theatre back to the Grove and build a new long-lasting community tradition. Thank you for being a part of it!
