My name is Nicole Maestas-Olonovich and I am a disabled veteran who was harmed by environmental toxins during my deployment to Iraq in 2004. As a first-time mother of a 1 year old, I am now fighting to make sure the climate in which I live does not harm me or my child further. Everyone deserves the right to breathe clean air, drink clean water, live on healthy land, grow food in toxin free soil and exist in a healthy environment.

Unfortunately, our lawmakers have prioritized exploitative and extractive industry above those rights. The Green Amendment seeks to place our rights above the capitalistic greed that blindsides those in power.
