Hope Homes International exists to end exploitation before it begins by giving kids hope for today and hope for tomorrow.

We currently have programming in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Puerto Escondido, Mexico and are soon launching in Quito, Ecuador, and Mexico City, Mexico.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Exploitation of children due to vulnerability. Far too often. In far too may places.

Hope Homes International launched unexpectedly in 2024, when its cofounders became aware of an unbelievably high number of youth suffering assault in Puerto Escondido, Mexico.

Several major factors contribute to the vulnerability of youth in this region. Oaxaca is the second least educated and second most impoverished state in Mexico. With the majority of homes being fatherless, many single moms are left carrying the full financial load for their families. Due to residents having only eight years of education on average, earning potential is low, and with tourism being the primary industry, most go to work in hospitality or customer service with very late evening hours. As a result, kids are often left unattended, and in many cases, in houses without doors or windows, a vulnerability that continues to lead to exploitation.

But the problem of exploitation due to vulnerability isn't just in Puerto.

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT?

Hope Homes is an international organization that brings hope to children and their families in various contexts. In some international locations, Hope Homes provides a secure and accessible home where children can come and stay as needed (even in a full-time, live-in situation) so that their families can remain intact while they receive the safety and support they need. This not only benefits the kids but also benefits their parents, as the additional support enables parents to retain stable employment (something they cannot do when they need to leave work to care for their kids mid-afternoon). Additionally, in some locations, Home Homes also functions as an orphanage. At a minimum, all locations provide after-school and school break care to support working families during those most critical hours.

With heavily vetted caretakers, the best in security protocols, top-tier facilities, age and gender separation in our overnight care options, as well as security camera coverage and monitoring systems throughout Hope Homes, parents can feel assured that their kids are in a safe, caring, environment in which they can thrive.

WHAT WILL IT TAKE?

All of us working together to write a new story! 100% of proceeds from this sale go to creating scholarships for kids to particpate in our programs and toward funding the construction of a desperately needed, full-scale facility in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, so we can provide not only after-school care but evening and overnight care as needed.
