Hi there! My name is Mary and I'm a new Charleston Moves Board Member. I am passionate about creating a bikeable, walkable and connected community. Ever since I moved here six years ago, I saw a real need to support our infrastructure and transit to include bike-friendly streets. I had seen how well cyclists and pedestrians worked along with cars and public transportation to move people around my hometown, Austin, Texas. I call Charleston home now, so I am more passionate than ever to do the work to create more bike lanes, trails, and paths so that Charleston becomes an even better place to live. 

My husband, four year old son and I ride our bikes throughout our neighborhood, to local restaurants, parks, and the farmer's market. Charleston Moves is an organization that is actively advocating for safer streets right here in my neighborhood and likely yours too.
