On December 2nd, SMA is privileged to provide first aid support at a significant cultural gathering: the first powwow in 30 years hosted by the Indigenous People of the Coastal Bend. This event, taking place at Texas A&M Campus in Corpus Christi, is not just a celebration of culture but also a platform for peaceful assembly and the expression of First Amendment rights.

While the Indigenous People of the Coastal Bend have kindly provided accommodation, we face a challenge in covering our transportation costs. The 4-hour one-way journey from Austin to Corpus Christi and back for our team requires over $400, calculated at the IRS's current mileage rate, for two vehicles.

Your support in covering our transportation costs is crucial. It enables us to offer indispensable medical aid and injury-reduction at this significant event, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants while maintaining our commitment to neutrality and support for constitutional rights.
