This year, I am participating in a fundraising campaign for The Chronic Disease Health Alliance (CDHA). The CDHA’s mission is to provide Chronic Disease Education and Healthy Meals to those in need within the Pittsburgh Community. Both services will be covered at 100% by the CDHA. Through November we will unite and harness the power of generosity to transform communities all over the world. Currently, one in five Pittsburgh residents is food insecure. This means that over 60,000 people in the Pittsburgh Community are struggling to find healthy, culturally appropriate food. In honor of these individuals, we are trying to do our part to combat food insecurity. All of the money raised will be used to provide this population with healthy meals or Chronic Disease Education aiming to reduce or reverse Type II Diabetes.
