Dear Family and Friends,

As you know, I have been on my school's crew team since seventh grade and have been on varsity for the past four years. I am currently in my last season :( We have been on the water since March 17th and now are ramping up the spring season after months of winter training. It has been amazing to be back on the water and able to row in a boat with 8 other people! There have been many spectacular sunsets and great blue heron sightings! From the weekend of April 6th to the beginning of June, we have races most weekends!  

Like past years, it has come to the time where we need to raise money for hiring coaches, maintaining our boathouse, and covering team expenses. Due to BLS Crew not being sponsored by BLS, it is a private entity with no school funding, we do an annual Erg-a-thon which is when the team gets together and rows on rowing machines (ergs) to raise money.
