Crouton’s Lifesaving BBL

Crouton’s life is in danger and she needs us to step up for her.

Crouton didn’t choose for any of this to happen to her. She didn’t choose for her litter mate to suckle her genitals until they barely functioned. She didn’t choose to have sepsis that was so severe it turned into septic arthritis (and an eventual future amputation). She didn’t choose to have her first rescue give up on her. She didn’t choose to need urethra surgery at a weight of only 400g. And she didn’t choose for her anus to suddenly swell almost completely shut.

Today, her foster mom noticed that Crouton’s anus was swelling significantly. Upon further examination by Dr. Werden, it was determined that Crouton’s mutilated anus was trying to heal itself. By shutting. I am sure that I don’t need to tell you that Crouton can’t live without an anus.

But WE can CHOOSE to save Crouton. To give her a chance at life. It’s just going to cost us $10k. And so we’ve scheduled the emergent surgery with a specialty surgeon. For next Wednesday. But unfortunately life doesn’t accept IOUs. So in order to go through with this scheduled surgery on Wednesday , we need to come up with $10k. Simply put, we don’t have $10k. We don’t even have $1k. This is where you come in. We NEED your donations and support. Crouton NEEDS your donations and support. This surgery cannot happen without your donations and support, because, as we said earlier, unfortunately life doesn’t accept IOUs.

When Crouton was entrusted to our care, it was because the people who cared about her knew that we wouldn’t back down from a challenge. That we would do everything possible to save her life. She’s already proven she’s a fighter by making it through one major surgery. We can’t give up on her now. But in order to make this surgery possible, we NEED your help.
