Springboard to Design

Springboard to Design is a tuition-free program that introduces high school students from underrepresented backgrounds to the world of theatrical design. Through hands-on workshops, seminars, and access to Broadway and off-Broadway productions, students will explore set, costume, lighting, projection, and sound design under the mentorship of award-winning theatre professionals.

We operate with a lean, no-frills approach, allocating approximately 70% of our budget to the program itself—including housing, food, evening show tickets, and any necessary supplies for the week's activities. We strive for sustainability, using donated and recycled materials for activities whenever possible.

We welcome a large donation of course, but with spots open for 18 students, perhaps the easiest way to support is to provide the cost of one student’s attendance: $5,000. All donations are tax-deductible via our 501(c)3 non-profit fiscal sponsor, Producer Hub .
