I love Jesus and my Family.
I was born in Northwest Montana and raised in Northern California, where I loved to go gold panning and run around the Sierra Nevadas as a kid. After joining the Marine Corps in 1997, I became plank owner of 2nd FAST Company and served as an assaultman with 2/7 Golf Company, the “Gunfighters”. I was blessed to spend my last 3 years in the Corps as a member of the instructor staff at the Dynamic Entry School at Quantico. I may be the only guy who’s ever been fishing in the Persian Gulf.
After the Marine Corps, I served as a Park Ranger with Virginia and Oregon state parks. Additionally, I facilitated outdoor challenge courses for 7 years with Challenge Discovery and Challenge Sonoma, helping provide experiential training, team building, and personal growth. Regardless of the ‘where’ and ‘when’, I have always loved the outdoors and enjoy sharing it with others.
My wife Tiffany and I started our family in Virginia, but moved here to Joseph, Oregon, in 2018 where we live with our 5 beautiful girls who help us manage our small farm of 8 goats, 30 chickens, 3 horses, 4 cows, a donkey and a boar named “White Pig.”
I currently serve as the scheduling coordinator and lodge host for Cross The Divide programming in Joseph, Oregon. This past year, we were able to host Cross The Divide’s first horse camping trip, and was humbled to receive the honorary title of “chaplain’s chaplain” during one of our personalized backpacking trips.
In 2024, we are looking forward to hosting our veteran participants and their families at the lodge while continuing events on the trails of Wallowa County that serve our nation’s warfighters.
I invite you to help us bring transformative programs to our country’s veterans in the venue of the beautiful Wallowa Mountains and the Eagle Cap Wilderness. We couldn’t do it without your personal support and partnership!
