Hello, I'm Mike Strong, and I'm proud to call northeast Indiana home, where my wife, Torrie, and I are raising our wonderful children, Everett and Lucy.

Growing up in a Christian household, my father's ministry at the local Nazarene Church played a pivotal role in shaping my love for the outdoors.  It was there that I developed my passion for hunting whitetail deer, a passion that has stayed with me throughout my life.

In 2010, I joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves as a Motor Transportation Operator.  In 2012, I was deployed to combat with CLB-2 out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, serving in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, from 2012-2013.  My time in the Marines was transformative, and I was Honorably Discharged in 2018.  My wife Torrie also proudly served in the United States Air Force.

Upon returning from Afghanistan in 2013, I transitioned into a career in Law Enforcement.  After starting as a Corrections Officer in the Jail division, I was promoted to Sheriff's Deputy in 2018 --  allowing me to continue serving the community that shaped me.

Beyond my law enforcement duties, I'm a pro-staff member of the outdoor show, Buckventures/The Woodsman, featured on The Sportsman Channel and MyOutdoor TV.  My commitment to the outdoors extends to my own business, Outdoorsman Drone Recovery LLC, where I use thermal drones to help fellow hunters find their game and assist concerned citizens in locating their pets and livestock.

What truly fuels my spirit is my passion for getting veterans involved in hunting and the great outdoors. I've had the privilege of hosting local veteran hunts in my community and collaborating with Cross The Divide to extend these opportunities.  Cross The Divide holds a special place in my heart because it aligns with my belief in the healing power of our God working through nature, particularly for our veterans.
