The 3rd Annual DREAM (Dismantling Racism through Education &Advocacy Appreciation for Minority Leadership) is being organized by Talauna Reed, former school board director, who is an organizer in our community. This year, with the support of Olympia SURJ and several individuals from our community I will be hosting this event in honor of Black History Month. The theme for this year's event is WHAT IF....inspired by India Arie.....We will be centering the voices of Black Leaders (Youth and Adults). The community will hear how Black People, past and present have contributed to building and strengthening our local communities.  At the event, we will honor seniors from our local high school for their commitment to leadership. Attendees will get to enjoy a light lunch and hear from amazing speakers.  The funds collected will go toward event expenses include gifts and awards for our Black and Indigenous Students of Color who are seniors.
