Hello, and welcome to my fundraising page! As a part of my Bat Mitzvah service project, I am raising money and collecting gently used sports equipment to support Boston Scores. All items and funds raised throughout my efforts will go directly to support the many students in the Boston Scores program, it will help students learn essential life skills and character through soccer and team-based enrichment programs.

Boston Scores is building a new soccer facility for the kids of the community in East Boston, it has multiple fields and field houses. The facility is expected to be done by this summer. I had the chance to visit the facility last month and meet with the director, John Maconga, for a site tour. This is a very exciting time for the organization and your donations will further their cause!

As background, Boston Scores partners with Boston Public Schools to provide urban youth in grades K-12 with after-school soccer & enrichment programs. In the Scores program, students have soccer practice 3x per week and enrichments programs (writing, poetry, entrepreneurship and college readiness/ career development workshops) depending on their grade level.

Scores helps kids to develop positive attitude, health/fitness, social and emotional skills, and preparedness. At Boston Scores there are about 1,400 students, 150 coaches, 30 schools, and 60+ teams!
