In 2010, DDF recognized the high number of Elementary students that didn't have access to any form of dance and drama education. We realized that arts education was only for the wealthy in our community! So we focused our limited resources on students with the highest risk or with special needs, launching our workshops and classes to kids in Orange County. During this time we were funded solely by donations from local families and dance studios, but our impact was HUGE. In 10 years were able to provide learning and performance opportunities to over 1500 students and provided over $200,000 in scholarships. Even Paula Abdul and Demi Lovato participated in our program events, giving these students a memory of a lifetime.

Now, with the help of specialized funding and generous people like you, we are reaching almost 1000 students each year. We have seen the confidence, learning engagement, and peer connections increase in ALL participating students. They are truly discovering themselves through Dance & Drama.

Why Your Donation Matters

There are still thousands of kids in our communities who do not have access to Dance & Drama education. In Orange County Title 1 schools alone there are over 20,000 underserved students. And funding is extremely limited. For every 1 student enrolled in our program, there are 3 on the waitlist.
