Our mission extends beyond education — we offer financial assistance to individuals living with diabetes who have limited resources, helping them overcome unexpected obstacles and maintain their health and well-being.

Why Your Support Matters

This holiday season, we are asking for your help to support families in need — families like TC’s. Earlier this year, TC needed assistance due to health issues causing her to lose her job and DEAR Diabetes stepped in to help with rent. Later, a car accident led to hospitalization, more missed work, and financial hardship. TC’s story is just one example of the many individuals and families we assist throughout the year.

DEAR Diabetes was founded by someone whose family has been impacted by diabetes for six generations. Having witnessed the devastating effects of uncontrolled blood sugars — including sepsis, amputations, and diabetic retinopathy — our founder’s personal family experience fuels our commitment to helping others avoid these life-altering health issues.

Our Programs Make an Impact

We provide educational events featuring expert speakers, blood sugar testing opportunities, and awareness campaigns to empower individuals living with diabetes. In addition, we offer grants to those struggling to meet basic needs due to the challenges of managing diabetes.
