The Deep East (DETx) High School Fishing Series brings together dozens of local communities and hundreds of high school student anglers to compete, learn lessons, develop angling skills, ethics, and learn to care for our great natural resources. The fishing series begins in September and runs until the final of the series in April. 5 of the 7 qualifiying tounaments are used to determine championship qualifiers.

The DETx helps raise funds for Outdoor Freedom Networks fishing programs for Veterans suffering from PTSD, as well as to fund our Major Kid Fishing Program that is designed to reach school aged children who do not have the resources or opportunities to spend time in the great outdoors. As we believe outdoor programs such as fishing are an essential part of trauma recovery.

Student Anglers are eligible from 5th Grade until 12th. Two divisions high school (9th-12th) and junior division (5th-8th). All teams must also be B.A.S.S. members. To register as a B.A.S.S. member go to https://www.bassmaster.com/high-school-registration/
