10 Years, $10 │ Celebrate our Anniversary with a Gift to your Community!

Denver Food Rescue is proud to announce its 10-year anniversary as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since receiving our official status on August 28, 2014, we have been dedicated to recovering surplus fresh food and distributing it to communities facing nutrition insecurity.

Our journey began with a grassroots movement powered by a dedicated team of 27 volunteers who recovered 60,442 lbs of fresh food in our first year. Today, we are supported by 168 passionate volunteers, an incredible network of food donors, and 21 partner organizations, helping us recover over 600,000 lbs of fresh food annually and serve around 65,000 community members each year.

To celebrate this milestone, we are launching the "10 Years, $10" campaign with a goal to raise $10,000 in the month of August. We invite the community to join us in this celebration by making a $10 donation, supporting our mission for the next decade and beyond. Your contribution is a testament to the power of grassroots efforts and people power in creating a healthier, more equitable Denver.
