Senior horse grain provides calories and nutrients like fat and fiber to maintain body weight and overall health for horses.

Cold weather is difficult for senior horses like Bess because as they age, their ability to regulate their body temperature decreases, often due to reduced muscle mass and fat, making it harder for them to stay warm.

Additionally, older horses may experience joint pain from arthritis which can be exasperated by cold temperatures, limiting their movement and ability to generate heat through activity.
