Adaptive & Inclusive Recreation Camps
A Story of Access, Joy, and Belonging
Outdoors should feel like a possibility — wide open, free, and welcoming.
But for too many disabled youth, the outdoors is still full of barriers: trails they can’t reach, programs they can't join, and communities that don’t yet know how to include them.
The AIROW Project was created to change that.
AIROW began with a simple belief: everybody deserves to move, play, and explore the world in ways that feel good and empowering. What started as one adaptive recreation session has grown into a community of young people who finally feel seen, supported, and invited into outdoor culture.
We’ve witnessed a teenager who uses a power wheelchair try mountain biking for the first time — not because someone told him he should, but because he chose it. We’ve watched autistic youth light up on the trail when they realize our programs move at their pace. We’ve watched families finally experience an activity together because we design every moment with inclusion in mind.
This is what access does:
It opens doors that were never built for disabled youth in the first place.
And this year, we need your help to keep those doors open.
AIROW is not just a program — it’s a promise.
A promise that disabled youth deserve freedom, choice, and adventure.
A promise that the outdoors becomes better when everyone can be part of it.
Your gift creates access.
Your gift builds community.
Your gift makes movement possible.
Let’s move together.
