In North Carolina, the numbers are staggering: 1.2 million tons of food—enough to fill Carter-Finley Stadium—are wasted every year, while 1 in 6 North Carolinians struggle with food insecurity. That’s where the Cherry Blossom Foundation’s NC Community Coordination Services steps in. We’re launching a movement to rescue surplus food and deliver it to families in need, ensuring no meal goes to waste. But we can’t do it without you.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 by June 15, 2025, to kick-start this life-changing program.

With your support, we’ll fund transportation, supplies, and volunteer support to connect local food donors—like restaurants and grocery stores—with communities across NC. Together, we can turn waste into hope, one meal at a time.
