Support Youth & Seniors in the DRMI Geeks & Gramps (Grandparents) Program

The DRMI Geeks & Gramps (play on the word grandparents) Program offers digital literacy and internet training for seniors coached by tech savvy youth (ages 8-18) who participate in workshops to prepare them to help older adults learn and safely use technology through in-person and online technology informational sessions addressing the fear of technology, digital stewardship, cyber-security and safety. The goal of the program is to bridge the digital divide and connect generations through technology, while helping seniors overcome feelings of isolation/loneliness.  Youth examine the diversity of people at different ages, learn professional development skills and how to give back to the community through volunteerism.
