The Down Syndrome Advocacy Project of Maine (DSAP) is raising money to provide training to volunteers who would like to be part of the Parents First Call Program. This crucial training is designed to connect a newly diagnosed family or a family who is new to the area with a trained parent volunteer. With your help, we will enhance support for new and expectant parents in Maine.

Established in 2021, the DSAP is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that provides resources for people with Down syndrome. DSAP strives to improve the lives of people with Down syndrome through education and advocacy. Our goal is to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion.

Our mission is to provide people with Down syndrome a vision of hope, inclusion, and independence for their future. We will do this through advocacy, community engagement, and scholarships for those seeking post-secondary education, including enrichment or vocational classes, to help them achieve their dreams of independence.
