The Mission of Dog Star Rescue is to save stray, abandoned, shelter, and owner surrender dogs of all breeds and ages by placing them in qualified, caring, lifelong homes.

Dog Star Rescue Vision Statement

We will:

• rescue as many dogs as possible, including those with special needs, to the best of our ability with the volunteer and financial resources available
• seek suitable adopters throughout Connecticut, New England and the Northeastern United States, and educate them about the responsibilities and costs of providing a lifelong home to rescued dogs
• provide temporary homes and veterinary care, including spay/neuter services, for all dogs under our care
• reduce dog overpopulation by promoting spaying and neutering
• offer meaningful, rewarding volunteer opportunities and experiences in the communities we serve
• strengthen our reputation as a professional, passionate and dedicated dog rescue organization.
