Calling all Devastating Divas! Join us for Ready. Set. Read! Story Time with the Divine 9 on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the historic Pan African Connection in Oak Cliff. Come M.A.D. (Make A Difference) with us and to introduce the kids of southern Dallas to the rich history of Black culture this Black History Month.
About Read, Set, READ
Our Ready. Set. Read! program tackles the literacy crisis head-on by pairing professionals with daycare and preschool-aged children, igniting a powerful love for reading from the very beginning. Our goal is simple: to improve the transition from "learn to read" to "read to learn" by third grade and beyond.
Location: Pan African Connection 4466 S Marsalis Ave Dallas, TX 75216
Time: 11am -1pm (lunch will be provided)
11am | TFC welcome
11:10am | Introductions
11:20am | Read first book
11:40am | Shop and purchase 1 book with kids
12pm | Lunch
12:30pm | Read second book
12:50pm | TFC closing remarks
Parking: Self Parking
Each kid will be allowed to purchase 1 book from the kids section to take home!
MUST RSVP to attend and PARENT MUST BE PRESENT!
KIDS AGES 2-6 (limited space available)
