PRC Albany was formed in September of 1982, during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon and after the massacre of Palestinians at Sabra and Shatila in Beirut, when a group of Palestinians, Palestinian-Americans, and others began holding a vigil each September at the Federal building in Albany.

We have remained a constant, vocal, and regular presence in the Capital Region advocating for Palestinian lives and liberation.

Since October 2023, we have organized several rallies and actions, spearheaded meetings with our elected representatives, collaborated with groups throughout the region to demand an end to the US-Israeli genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza.

We are in a unique moment: this viscous brutal assault on Gaza has opened the eyes of millions to the injustice in Palestine and has brought more people to the movement than ever before.
