About the DTR Foundation:

Dr. Garold Hamilton, O.D. Is the Founder and CEO of DTR Foundation. 

Dr. Garold “Gary” Hamilton is a remarkable example of resilience, leadership, and impact. Born and raised in the challenging inner-city community of Shaolin (Sav-La-Mar), Westmoreland, Jamaica, he lived the mantra that where you start does not determine where you finish.  

After surviving a near-life-altering motorbike accident and an uphill journey through tertiary education, Garold went on to earn advanced engineering credentials (including a BSc (Hons), an MSc, and professional engineering charterships) and build a distinguished global career.  

Professionally, he has served as a senior executive in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, currently serving as Senior Vice President, Growth Leader at Introba in North America, where he drives strategic initiatives across sectors including healthcare, science & technology, mission-critical infrastructure, and aviation.  

In addition to his corporate success, Garold is a two-time published author. His memoir-style books, including “Ghetto Youth’s Bible” and “From Grit to Glory”, share his story of overcoming adversity and aim to inspire young people from underserved communities to harness their potential.  

He remains deeply committed to giving back, especially to Jamaican youth and communities. His life and work demonstrate that true leadership combines professional excellence with authentic purpose.
