DUC Pink

DUC Pink is partnering with Kate Weiser chocolates to bring edible artistic creations to our supporters. The goal is to raise funds for the organization and to bring awareness of the benefits of dragon boating for survivors. 

The Dallas United Crew’s Pink team (known as DUC Pink) is Dallas’ first Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team. United through a shared diagnosis, DUC Pink encourages and empowers survivors to engage in a lifetime of fun, exercise, and camaraderie on the water. It is proven that if women stay active with upper body exercises, the chance of reoccurrence is reduced.

Since introducing Breast Cancer Survivor (BCS) Dragon Boating to the DFW area in 2015, DUC Pink has welcomed over one hundred teammates and competed in festivals both domestically and internationally. While race days are exciting — with our pink jerseys, pink life vests, and for some, pink hair — the magic really happens on our home water at White Rock Lake. It is there that we meet each week — eager to support, encourage, and inspire each other. We work together, paddling in unison, and propel a 40-foot boat through the water. And in the process, claim a small victory over the diagnosis that brought us together.
