La proMesa Familia

La proMesa Familiar is an El Dorado County community based collective that support mutual aid efforts for individuals struggling to provide food for their families and gives access to resources, education and training. Through collaborative work, mutual education & networking, they are dedicated to empowering and uplifting the community they serve. La proMesa provides food to over 100  multi-generational family households every two weeks. About 450-500 people directly benefit from La proMesa. Unlike any other local food distribution project, their bi-monthly food pantry staples are masa, oil, tortillas, eggs, sugar, flour, beans, rice and produce. During harvest months, the proMesa community harvests produce for the pantry, and for their individual families on off-weeks.
