Support Ozark Ballet Theater and Professional Dance in NWA!

Ozark Ballet Theater believes that NWA has the resources and support to create a new conversation about the practice of professional dance. This begins with focusing on the needs of the dancer. Unfortunately, due to the passion dancers have and their need for constant training, professional dancers are among the most easily exploited artists. Nationwide, most professional dancers work for little to no pay and many juggle multiple part time jobs just to continue to fit dance in their schedules. 

When we learned that the only contracted professional ballet dancers in Northwest Arkansas had lost those contracts, we knew we had to act. We cannot offer our students the opportunities to perform with professionals if the region has none. So in response we offered a one show contract to each displaced dancer who auditioned for us.

These dancers have such a deep well of experience and passion and we want to keep them working as much as possible! 

We are also engaged in providing support for Ukrainian refugees and finding a permanent home for our school. Needless to say we are stretched THIN! Please help us support classical performance in NWA by donating today!
