My name is Anthony LeRoux. I grew up in East Longmeadow, entered the Air Force, and recently retired from the United States Postal Service. I am an active Mason who worked my way through the ranks to become District Deputy Grandmaster. I am also involved in another Masonic group, Grotto, again working my way through the ranks to become District Deputy, as well as President of the New England Grotto Association. Grottos are known for raising funds to provide free dental care to special needs children, thereby bringing a smile to their faces. I have received the Distinguished Service Award for contributions to the fraternity and community. I am also a recipient of the Grand Monarch’s Award of Excellence in the Grotto organization. Currently, I serve as Captain of the Guard with the Melha Shriners and have held positions such as Chief Clown, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and other roles within the Shrine organization.

I believe one of my greatest achievements is starting and organizing a local chapter for Wreaths Across America, ensuring our veterans are recognized during the holiday season.

I am married to a lovely woman, Debra LeRoux, who is never in front of me, never behind me, but always by my side. I have a daughter and granddaughters living in California, as well as another daughter and three grandchildren here in Springfield. I am an avid reader and bibliophile, having amassed a collection of well over 3,000 books over the past 40 years.
My reason for taking a role in Dancing with Heart is twofold. First, learning to dance was always on my bucket list for retirement. Second, two of my granddaughters were outpatients at Shriners Hospital, and my wife’s brother spent a considerable amount of time at Shriners Hospital in the 1960s, undergoing over 13 surgeries that allow him to walk today. I am looking forward to this event and will give it my best.
Sincerely,
Anthony J. LeRoux
