Join an experiential weekend workshop on October 26-27 with individuals impacted by the legal system and those working toward holistic reentry and safer, more connected communities!

This special weekend of Advanced Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) curriculum will include the opportunity to gather in circle, participate in teambuilding activities, authentic conversations, and small group problem solving.

Alternatives to Violence Project is an association of community, organizational, school and prison-based groups offering workshops in personal growth, community development and creative conflict management to encourages every person’s innate power to positively transform themselves and the world we live in.

Please join the Deepening Community workshop on October 26-27 for an opportunity for connection, trust and transformative learning through interactive experiences, self-reflection, and FUN!

Please note: this event is for participants 18 and older only.

Workshop timing:

Saturday, October 26: 9 AM - 5 PM
Sunday, October 27: 9 AM - 5 PM

Out of respect for group process and maintaining trust among participants, please only register if you can commit to attending the entire weekend. This is an Advanced workshop. Participants must have previously attended a Basic workshop in order to join.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early each day to ensure parking availability and so the workshop can begin promptly.

Please bring a sack lunch both Saturday and Sunday and plan to eat onsite.
Wear comfortable, casual clothing and shoes that allow you to move around easily.
Other than a water bottle, lunch and snacks, there is no need to bring anything else.
