The Derek Dolenc Memorial Foundation, Inc. was established in loving memory of Derek Dolenc, whose life was marked by academic excellence, athletic talent, and quiet strength. A standout student and golfer from Auburn, Illinois, Derek continued to shine at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE), where he made a lasting impact on the golf community.

After Derek’s untimely passing from melanoma in 1991, the foundation was created to carry forward his legacy—supporting cancer awareness, education, and service in his honor. Today, the foundation reflects the same character Derek showed in life: steady, humble, and committed to lifting others up.
