Over the past 20 years, you’ve helped build a legacy of hope in rural Kenya — a hospital, a nursing college, a surgical center, and powerful programs like the Boda Girls and disability inclusion.

But one critical piece is still missing:
Mental health support.

In rural areas, families facing grief, cancer diagnoses, or trauma have little to no access to trained counselors or social workers. Youth navigating depression or addiction are often left to struggle alone. Women sharing experiences of gender-based violence with Boda Girls have no follow-up professional support.

We’ve seen the power of connection.
Most of Boda Girls reported feeling deeply depressed before joining. Now they lead with confidence — because they built a community of trust and support.

It’s time to extend that healing to the entire community.

Together with our Kenyan partner, Matibabu Foundation, we are raising $10,000 to fund a full-time licensed social worker who will:

Support the most vulnerable patients one-on-one
Supervise resilience groups in high schools
Train nursing instructors and hospital staff in trauma-informed care
Build a sustainable referral network for long-term mental health support
