New Year, Shared Mission: Make Church Life Accessible to All
As we enter a new year, we’re reminded that God’s welcome is not seasonal. It is constant, generous, and for everyone. Just as the manger once gathered shepherds, children, wisemen, and angels around the newborn Savior, the Church today is called to be a place where all people can come to hear the message of God’s love.
Yet many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities still face barriers to fully participating in church life. Bethesda Lutheran Disability Ministries is working to change that.
Through resources and consultations, we help churches become places where people of all abilities are not only invited but included, supported, and valued as essential members of God’s family.
As this new year begins, we invite you to help us extend the welcome even further. Your gift helps:
-
Train pastors and church leaders to support people with disabilities
-
Create worship, learning, and fellowship that includes everyone
-
Build strong faith and community for people of all abilities
We know pastors and church workers are already carrying so much. Would you consider giving $25, $50, or $100 to help walk alongside them with tools and encouragement that make inclusion easier? With your support, all people can grow in faith together and celebrate God’s grace and goodness in the year ahead.
