August 9 marks 24 years since 15-year-old Malki Roth was murdered in the devastating bombing of Jerusalem’s Sbarro pizzeria.

Malki was a vibrant teen — a gifted flautist, a camp counselor, a fiercely devoted sister to her youngest sibling, Haya, who lives with severe disabilities. She embodied kindness, joy, and quiet strength. Her life was cut short — but her legacy has grown deeper every year since.

In the wake of unimaginable grief, Malki’s parents, Arnold and Frimet Roth, created Keren Malki – The Malki Foundation, to carry forward her spirit of compassion. Today, that foundation enables critically-needed paramedical therapies and mobility equipment for children with disabilities — so they can live, grow, and flourish at home, with the families who love them most.
