Join us, Soroptimist International of Fond du Lac, in a historic endeavor as we strive to bring Lisle Lester, Fond du Lac's revered trailblazer, back home after 136 years. Despite her significant contributions, Lisle's cremains remain unclaimed at Fresh Pond Crematory in Middle Village, NY. In 2003, the crematory attached a daunting $7522 storage fee, hindering any efforts to claim her cremains and bring her home to Fond du Lac.

Now, in 2024, Soroptimist International of Fond du Lac has taken up the mission to honor Lisle's legacy and reunite her with her mother, family and hometown. Collaborating with various stakeholders, we estimate the cost to be $3,000.
