Our Mission
Our mission is to reach these youth where they are at so we can be a safe, positive
place where all youth can know they matter, that each and every one of them have
worth, and to be a part of the village that it takes to help youth navigate all the obstacles
that is growing up in today's world. A place where they are free to talk about whatever it
is that is holding them back from reaching all that God has created them to be.
We want to inspire and celebrate youth success so they can be catalysts for positivity in
their homes, schools and communities and what better way to do that than over an
afterschool snack, while lending an ear and developing community with them.
Outreach Eats is a nonprofit skatepark ministry founded in 2023 by (Us) Garry and Robin
Mickelson in Rathdrum, Idaho. With a simple mission to show up for local youth, rain,
shine or snow. Outreach Eats provides food, encouragement, and a safe presence
every week at the Rathdrum Skate Park, located near Lakeland Middle and High School
and across from Mountain View Alternative High School.
Every week, during the school year approximately 390-495 youths and or families come through to pick up fresh snacks,
homemade baked goods, and ready-to-eat items like fruit snacks, pudding, pastries,
and more. The program fills a critical hunger gap that exists outside of school meal
hours while also providing mentorship and fellowship.
Our Goal is to reach as many youths as possible and their families in the greater North Idaho area and we need your help to do it.
Support Outreach Eats Today Whether you choose to make a one-time gift or become a monthly sponsor, every contribution makes a meaningful impact. Your generosity helps us open new locations in the area, maintain our current outreach efforts in Rathdrum, and provide essential food and water to those in need each day. Every dollar goes directly toward fueling our mission—and we’re deeply grateful for your support.
