Making Homelessness Rare, Brief, & Nonrecurring in Okaloosa & Walton Counties
At Homelessness & Housing Alliance (HHA) we know that our community can end homelessness by working together to invest in affordable housing and implement best practices to help families and individuals in crisis.
As the lead agency for the Okaloosa Walton Continuum of Care (COC), we bring together homeless services providers, local government, law enforcement, behavioral health providers, hospitals, and affordable housing developers to ensure our community’s programs work in tandem to meet the immediate needs of our unhoused neighbors and to address long term drivers of homelessness.
Ending homelessness requires coordinated action by the entire community to ensure that resources are allocated where they are most needed and are deployed in the most efficient way possible. Our Continuum of Care Access Points provide crisis response for Okaloosa and Walton counties, enabling organizations in our community to work together to move people out of homelessness as quickly as possible and then provide them resources to address the underlying issues that put them at risk in the first place. Our members work together to make homelessness brief, rare, and non-recurring.
