CARE Washington, DC (CARE DC) is a movement to revolutionize public education by cultivating power in our neighborhoods to impact our community schools. CARE Anacostia and CARE Brookland are two federal community-based nonprofit organizations supporting five schools per neighborhood.

The CARE DC movement reaches approximately 2,400 students in local Title 1 schools in Wards 5 and 8, of whom 92% are Black, 5% Latinx, and 3% are White/Other.

At CARE DC, we believe that every dollar and action is crucial to our mission.
