Project Summary

The Arizona Muslim Alliance (AMA) is developing two vital community resource hubs to strengthen support, access, and belonging for Muslims across Arizona—especially new Muslims and families seeking Ramadan-specific tools. These resources will live online at azmuslims.org and will also include beautiful, printable one-page infographics distributed to all local mosques and partner organizations.

Launching February, 2026, inshaAllah, these hubs will serve thousands of individuals seeking guidance, connection and clarity on essential aspects of faith and community life.

New Muslim Resources

A centralized digital and printable guide to help new Muslims navigate their journey with confidence and community support. This resource will feature:

Local support groups, mentorship programs, and convert care teams
Community closets supplying clothing and essentials
Introductory classes on Islam and ongoing educational opportunities
Listings of mosques offering new Muslim circles, social gatherings, and guidance
A downloadable, infographic-style Convert Resource Sheet to be provided to all mosques

This hub bridges a long-standing community gap by ensuring every new Muslim—regardless of where they took their shahada—has one trusted place to begin.

Ramadan Community Resources

A comprehensive, accessible Ramadan page designed to support individuals, families, teachers, workplaces, and mosques. This resource will include:

A calendar of recurring Ramadan programs, community iftars, and nightly services
Downloadable letters for schools, teachers, and employers explaining Ramadan, Eid accommodations, and etiquette
Book lists and activities for schools and families
Printable tools such as gift labels, “Prayer in Progress” door signs, and Zakat al-Fitr guidance
Zakat resources including where/how to pay, and a Zakat calculator

This hub ensures Muslims—and those who support them—have reliable, culturally competent, professional materials during the most important month of the year.

Why This Matters

Arizona’s Muslim population is growing, diverse, and deeply connected to AMA as a statewide hub for unity, information, and collaboration. These two resource pages will:

Strengthen belonging for new Muslims
Equip families, educators, and workplaces with accurate information
Support community organizations with ready-to-use materials
Reduce duplication of effort across mosques and nonprofit

Use of Funds

Funding directly supports:

Creation of materials (educational content, guides, downloads)
Professional design of digital and print-ready assets
Research and alignment with best-practice convert care and Ramadan resources
Printing of community-wide distribution materials
Marketing and outreach to ensure mosques and families know and use the resources
