Hi, hello, howdy! I'm so glad you're here. 

When I was a newly engaged woman, I searched high and low in my state for an imam to marry my Catholic-raised Athiest fiance and me. The search and subsequent rejections for a local imam were disheartening and frustrating to say the least. I stumbled upon MPV and was near tears when they agreed to officiate. MPV was the MVP for my hopes to have a Muslim fusion wedding.

After my wedding, I kept up with the happenings of MPV around the US and the world. It became abundantly clear that these were my people.

As a biracial Black and South Asian Muslim woman born and raised in the South, it's been a lifelong challenge to find a group that shares my faith and progressive values. It has been a blessing to find a community of progressive Muslims.

I'm so proud and grateful to be part of this amazing organization. With MPV I found community and it’s my goal to pay it forward in fostering community and holding space for those that are looking for their people.
