Dear Chappaqua Friends Community,

These past weeks at Chappaqua Friends have been exciting and busy, filled with preparations for a season of gratitude and giving. Children have learned about equity by collecting food for local families in need. They’ve read stories and reflected on generosity, kindness and peace. Through songs, teachers have shared the importance of thanking our families, friends, and our natural world. It has been a beautiful time in our little school, and the children have grown in their empathy and understanding of the importance of community.

Now, as we begin the Winter Quarter, we ask for your support of our 2024-2025 Annual Fund. Each year, we strive for 100% participation, no matter the amount. Your generous donations help close the gap between tuition and the actual cost of supporting the high quality programming Chappaqua Friends offers. Any financial contribution you’re able to offer is significant and reflects how meaningful our program is to your family.

This year, we hope to raise $5000 by December 31st for our Annual Fund. Your generous donations will be used to support our developing music program. We will be able to build an outdoor Sound Garden with large scale instruments for children to use collaboratively and creatively. Once we reach our goal, we will be able to bring in a music teacher once a month, starting in the spring. Our wish is to carry on the sentiment of the late Ella Jenkins who famously sang, “You'll sing a song and I'll sing a song. And we'll sing a song together.” A more robust music program will be a meaningful addition to our school, and will further connections, learning, and joy in our Chappaqua Friends community.
