More than a quarter of a century ago Alice Chapman turned her passion and vision for disadvantaged children in Wood and Washington counties
into a reality.

Today, the Ely Chapman Education Foundation (ECEF) stands proudly in the heart of Marietta, Ohio, and the children of our region need your help.

Alice not only shared her vision and passion but also invested her personal resources to start and fund her vision. However, with her recent and sudden passing, the children of the MOV need your help now, more than ever. Your support will give these children the hope and skills that will pave a path to reach their fullest potential. 

Currently, the ECEF arranges transportation to and from 6 local school districts. While at the ECEF students receive professional and nurturing support in academics, social/behavioral skills, leadership, health and wellness, and cultural experiences across all of our programs. ECEF provides a safe place to practice physical health, eat nutritious meals and snacks, receive mental health counseling, and targeted tutoring. Our cultural activities include theater arts, ceramics, music, field trips, and so much more.
