Family Promise of the Black Hills is a developing affiliate of Family Promise National, the leading national organization preventing and ending family homelessness. Our approach involves prevention services before families with children become homeless, help for families experiencing homelessness to access housing, and stabilization programs once families have secured housing. Showered With Hope, one of our programs, offers free showers, bathroom facilities, and hygiene kits to our community members who are unhoused.
We are advocates for the unsheltered. It is our aspiration to change the future for hundreds of families and children who live in the Black Hills by 2030. We will accomplish this goal through your tax-deductible donations, grants, and volunteer hours.
Family Promise of the Black Hills eventually plans to offer at least one type of housing program including bridge apartments, permanent supportive housing, and affordable housing. We also plan to expand our Showered With Hope program. As a newly established 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we strongly advocate for every family and child to have a home. Our mission is to change the lives of families facing homelessness.
Did you know that Rapid City does not have a shelter that allows families to stay together? Your support is crucial for us to sustain our efforts in assisting families with children, preventing homelessness, and ensuring stable housing for families in need.
