Help us support a mission that is vital to the safety, resilience, and wellbeing of the East Harlem community.

The East Harlem Community Organizations Active in Disaster (EHCOAD) is a tax-exempt, multisector coalition dedicated to one core purpose: to ensure that East Harlem is a safer, better-prepared, and more connected community before, during, and after emergencies. We strengthen the preparedness and readiness of our neighborhood by coordinating community organizations, small businesses, faith-based partners, and residents so that, together, we can respond quickly and effectively when emergencies occur.

This year, your contribution will help us:

• Expand emergency readiness trainings and Go-Bag workshops

• Strengthen rapid communication systems across neighborhood organizations

• Build networks that ensure no resident is left behind during extreme weather, power outages, or public health emergencies
