This year, your faithful support of Birchwood Behavioral Health (Alaska Baptist Family Services) has led to incredible stories of hope and healing. These stories are living reminders of God’s transforming power at work:

• One youth came into our program unwilling to speak more than one or two words at a time. Over time, as our team created a safe and loving environment, they found the courage to approach a staff member with questions about baptism. This conversation led to further discussions with a church pastor, and today, this youth has found a voice—not only to express their faith but to connect deeply with others.

• Another youth, battling self-harming behaviors, attended a church service and felt a change. While not an immediate or magical cure, the experience marked a turning point. This youth began to experience hope and healing, completed our program successfully, and was reunited with their family.

• A third youth, who had been through multiple programs without making progress, found stability here. They not only graduated successfully but also made the profound decision to be baptized. Their healing journey inspired their family to attend church with them, and today, they worship together. This youth now serves on their church’s praise team, giving glory to the God who changed their life.
