Elevate a story. Empower a creator.

For 20 years, the International Black Film Festival has stood for something greater: elevated creativity, broader opportunities, and boundless possibilities.

The International Black Film Festival began as a simple but urgent belief that storytellers whose voices were overlooked deserved a place to shine. It was created to honor artists who carried rich histories, complex lives, and powerful ideas, yet had no platform to share them. IBFF started as a heartfelt commitment to give those creators space, dignity, and visibility, and to ensure their work reached the audiences who needed to see it. What began as a personal mission to uplift and include has grown into a twenty-year legacy of opening doors, championing creativity, and building a home for stories that move the world.

Today, IBFF reaches audiences on a local, national, and international scale, connecting communities to global stories and bridging cultures through film, television, theater, and the arts.

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to elevate a story and empower a creator in every corner of our creative community.

Your gift supports both emerging voices and seasoned artists whose work continues to influence our creative landscape. Together, they form a vibrant community of storytellers across film, television, theater, and the arts, each bringing imagination, perspective, and depth to our shared narrative.

IBFF provides far more than access. We offer a true platform, a visible stage, and a creative home where artists can share their work, collaborate with peers, connect with industry leaders, and engage with audiences who value their perspective. It is a space where discovery happens, where careers are shaped, and where stories find life far beyond the screen or stage.

IBFF also contributes to local economic vitality, supports workforce development, and expands public access to global narratives that might otherwise remain unseen. Sustaining this level of programming requires thoughtful planning, consistent resources, and a strong institutional foundation.

A greater vision is built one story at a time; one young creative finding their voice, one artist completing a new body of work, one visionary reaching new audiences, one community coming together to celebrate what is possible.

Donate today and help elevate a story and empower a creator...because every story deserves its moment.
